Former dc talk hip-hopper Toby McKeehan grew up in the greater Washington, D.C. area. He attended Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA), where we met future dc talk band mates Kevin Smith and Michael Tait. The group was phenomenally successful, and when they split in 1999, McKeehan had no trouble launching a successful solo career.
