Ruben Studdard
2003 American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 14, 1978. Though a casual singer at a young age, Studdard did not begin to take music seriously until he attended college at Alabama A&M University, where he graduated with a degree in voice in 2000.
