Kirk Franklin
Kirk Franklin has become one of Gospel's brightest stars since the release of "Kirk Franklin and the Family", which spent 100 weeks on the charts, some at the top. It was the first gospel debut to go platinum. His second release, a Christmas record, became the first such album to reach number one on the charts, and his 1996 release went gold as soon as it dropped.
