7 Sons of Soul was formed Washington, D.C. by Cliff Jones and Deonte Gray, two singers who, inspired by a successful co-recording, decided to get a group together and produce a full-length album. Jones and Gray recruited Dave Lindsey, Paul Edwards, Sam Kendrick, and Nathaniel Fields to provide instrumental support, and 7 Sons of Soul became a reality.
